Please help us identify the parents of JOHN JARMAN, b. 1807-1816 in North Carolina. In Sept. 1831, in Tennessee, he married LUCY B. SILLS of Halifax Co, N.C.. Lived in Montgomery co., Tn., til 1835, then in Livingston co., Ky. til 1857, then moved to Missouri. Joined Enrolled Missouri Militia in Oct. 1861, mustered out following January 10, and died 2 days later in hospital in Franklin, Mo. 12 children: Joshua Feb 14, 1834, Tn. Perlina W., Feb 02, 1861, Mo. Rest in Livingston Co, Ky. Henry, abt 1835. Josiah T. (Joseph) Jan 24, 1836. John Hardwell, abt 1839. William Barton, abt. 1840. Catharine, abt 1845. Benjamin F. abt 1847. Samuel, Mar. 12, 1849. Priscilla C., Feb 17, 1852. Mary E., abt 1853. Joanna M., June 15, 1856. Made 1850 census in Livingston co., Ky., and 1860 in Osage co., Mo.
This has stumped some otherwise successful amateur genealogists. Jarmans in Missouri & a few in Oklahoma are hoping someone can help. (My wife's maiden name was Jarman.) We will appreciate any information at all! Thanks!!!!
