Looking for KAGA family from Shizuoka
Posted by: Sanford Kaga (ID *****4096) Date: January 07, 2012 at 02:37:51
  of 1931

I am looking for any relatives of my Grandfather named Uhei Kaga, originally from Shizuoka. He was married to Kaneyo Haida. Uhei Kaga was born Oct. 9, 1879 and died in Hawaii on July 15, 1939. His wife Kaneyo Haida was born on Dec. 24, 1894 and died in Hawaii on Nov. 21, 1962.

My father, Stuart Tamotsu Kaga, was born in Hawaii. He was stationed in Sapporo in the US Army during the Korean War. Stuart Kaga was born on September 30, 1932 and is still very healthy and living on Maui, Hawaii. He said he is sure he still has cousins or other realtives that are still living though he has never met any of them. We have a letter written by his father's brother (Uhei's brother) looking for my father (Stuart). Not sure what his name was... but he said he lived in Shizuoka with a stream running in his back yard. This letter was written in the 1970's and hopefully he or other relatives are still alive. My dad (Stuart Tamotsu Kaga) is now 79 years old. My name is Sanford Kaga and I am 49 years old. I am trying to find any possible relatives. My dad and mom are very curious to see our relatives.
We are visiting Japan (Tokyo-Shizuoka-Kyoto) on March 9-19, 2012. If you can help us in any way to find our possible relatives, please let us know. THANK YOU for reading this.

Sanford Keiji Kaga
Mililani, Hawaii
