Our mother just died this past weekend. Unfortunately, we never got around to doing her family tree although she told some interesting stories about her 'samurai' grandfather. She was born Katsue Ikeda and still has a brother alive in Japan named Nobuaki Ikeda (though I understand he has alzheimers). I do know she originally also had two sisters (both deceased) and both of her parents died young. My mother's birthdate was August 13, 1925. Her sisters and brother were much older than her although all were from the same parents.
