Hi my name is Victor Janeway, my grandfather on my dad's side changed his name from January to Janeway, along with his brother Thomas Jefferson. I had started finding this information on Ancestry dot com, but then they wanted something like 99 dollars a month to contine so I stopped here. There were 8 childred from Isaac Newton and Mary Martena (aka Tenney), Hiram Daniel,Margaret, William, May,Thomas,Chester, Jana, Charles Newton.
Isaac Newton was the son of Hiram and SArah Williams, he has two sisters, Margaret A. and Cynthia Mahala.

rumor had it and my Grandfather was a big story teller, that he killed a man and had to change his name for fear of revenge. Thomas must have been there too, according to records previously found on ancestry dot com, the others didnt change their names. You may also find him buried(NOT sure if its him) buried near Lawrence ks. south toward the old Lone Star lake. I do remember my Aunt taking us to another cementary south of Lawrence and meeting cousins I didnt know existed...Good luck, you can write me.
