I am a decendent of Johanna Janssen. She came to The U.S. with three sons and two daughters. I am not sure of the date but I have it. They arrived in Baltimore, Maryland. I am interested in finding out more about why she came to Illinois when she immigrated. Who did she know that enticed her or led her to make the trip here?
