Thank you for responding. I do not have any more information about the Jans family, other than what I said in my original post. I would like to be able to find more, but have been unable. I have a cousin who has done a little bit of research, but he has not come up with much either. We are thinking that my ggrandmother probably owned some land in the Grundy Co area when she was married to Eide Tulp. but neither my cousin or I have been able to get over to that area to look up any information.
