The Janney family is the subject of two excellent articles by Miles White, Jr. One, "The Quaker Janneys" can be found in the Southern Historical Association publication 8:119-128, 196-211, and 274-286. This is a detailed, well researched, and well documented history of the Janney's from the 1500s. The other publicatioin "Thomas Janney, Privincial Councillor," can be found in PMHB 27:212-237. I am interested in the Allrod/Allred/Alrodd etc. connection. Randull Janney m. Ellen Alrodd. Their son Thomas Janney m. Eliz. Worthington. Their son Thomas Janney m. Margaret Heath whose sister Ann Heath m. James Harrison. Phoebe, d/o Ann Heath and James Harrison m. Phineas Pemberton s/o Ralph Pemberton who m. Mary Seddon. Ralph Pemberton s/o William Pemberton and Ann had a sister, Ellen Pemberton, who m. John Allrod. John and Ellen (Pemberton) Allrodd had several children including: John, Mary, William, Owen, Alice, Phineas, Enoch, Theophilus, Ellen and Solomon. I would be interested in hearing from anyone researching this Allrod/Allred connection.
