Jankowski--Poznan>Dushore,Pa.>Wausau,Wi.> Arcadia, Wi.
Joseph and Peter Jankowski left Poznan in the middle of the nineteenth century. The brothers left behind in Poznan a sister, Elizabeth, with whom they corresponded for the rest of their lives.
Joseph married in Dushore, and had four children there, one of whom, was Theodore, my grandfather.
Joseph took the family to Wausau Wisconsin for some years, and then moved to Arcadia where he bought a farm. Theodore met and married Magdalena George in Arcadia, and they later settled in LaCrosse, Wisconsin where they raised four girls: Alice, Phyllis, Ruth and Mary Jane.I need information on the Polish roots of the family as well as any other history which you may know.
Let me know if you can help.
