I am trying to delve further into the Janicki family, have someone else working on it. Definitely came from Poland. This friend of mine has several spellings on Janicke which when they came over from the old country, many changed their spellings. Most of them has a ski on the end of their name. I think she might be on to something - will let you know. The write up you read came from a 50th wedding anniv. of Casper and Rose in Superior and gave listing of all the children. Dad never talked much about his family. The only one I met over my growing up years was Aunt Eleanor Quimby and she visited us in Havre and went on a trip w/us.
