I queried the Godfrey Memorial Library in CT concerning my search for Jason JAMISON b. abt 1813 North Carolina. I received these items: One is the "Roster of Soldiers from North Carolina in the American Revolution" pub. 1932 by DAR. Listed in the INDEX are two James, a Thomas and a William. Also there is a Thomas JAMERSON. There is a list of names on "State Records of North Carolina, Army Accounts - Halifax and Warrenton - 1781-1785 and listed under "Army Accts of the North Carolina Line, Warrenton Settlements is James Jamison. The second item is "North and South Carolina Marriage Records from the Earliest Colonial Days to the Civil War" compiled by Wm Montgomery Clemens, Editor of Genealogy Magazine - and these are listed: JAMERSON, Elizabeth & Micajah Andrews, 26 Jan 1763, Edgecombe Co., NC JAMESON, Bond & Teressa Bond, 9 Feb 1785 Chowan Co., NC JAMESON, Catherine & Samuel Brown, 31 March 1801 Mecklenburg Co., NC JAMESON, E. C. & James L. McClure, 9 June 1847, Mecklenburg Co., NC JAMESON, Harriet & Robert W. Montgomery 25 Feb 1875, Mecklenburg Co., NC JAMESON, Isaac & Alice Murphy, 5 Mar 1825, Mecklenburg Co., NC JAMESON, James & Melinda Long, 28 June 1840, Mecklenburg Co., NC JAMESON, Jean & James Brown JAMESON, Mary & Robert M. Beaty JAMESON, Mary & Benjamin F. Brown JAMESON, Nancy C. & Allen H. Brown JAMESON, Robert & Isabella Johnston - all these from Mecklenburg Co - is you need the dates not listed, please email me. That was the end of the paper, and the library did not send anything further although it appears that the list of JAMESON marriages continued. You may contact the library and they charge a small fee for research -email them at library@godfrey.org www.godfrey.org I had found something from them online at Ancestry and that's why I wrote them.
