Hi,
Actually, I think your James "Jimmie" Jamison is ours :)According to family stories he was a fairly noted bushwhacker in the Dent County area.He was the son of Samuel and Sarah (Carson) Jamison and a brother to my husband's great-grandmother, Margaret Anna (Jamison) Tharp.
Actually, he is said to have fled to TX to escape those who were after him.It is quite interesting to note that once he arrived in TX, he became a Texas Ranger.
