James Jamison, Missouri Civil War Outlaw
Posted by: Ed Grooms (ID *****3621) Date: March 26, 2002 at 12:27:55
  of 1621

Looking for information on James Jamison, who may have been a Colonel in the Confederate Army in Southern Missouri. He was known to be in Oregon Co. Mo with a band of outlaws after the Civil War. The Governor of Missouri offered a reward for his body in 1866 after he escaped from authorities in Dent Co. MO. He is believed to have escaped the Missouri State Militia in 1868 and fled to Indian Territory.

Any information deeply appreciated.
