Arch, Well I must say you spun quite a yarn yourself. When you consider the preponderance of information rather than isolating each fact as if one has no relation to the other, then you miss the magnitude of Betty’s point. You may call JLC associations with known James gang members and key Confederates as non-meaning if you want to. You may feel that this has no bearing on JLC supposedly being a non-outlaw ex-Union soldier. Close your eyes real tight and you won’t see or believe. Guess that was your goal in the first place. Trust me, what Betty presented in the Wild West article is but a piece of what she has. If you read with your eyes shut, that is a guaranteed way to keep your same opinion.
