No, I don't know where Puryear, Tennessee is although I have heard of it. What county is it in?
What BROWN line are you researching? I, too, have BROWN's and considerable research on them. Mine came from Virginia, through West Virginia (before it was West Virginia) and through Kentucky to Missouri.
You also mention HUDSON's. I have volumes and volumes of research on my HUDSON line.
And . . . I am a retired newspaper editor. I am not currently with a newspaper syndicate so nothing current is available. The summer of '99 was the last time I was published in a newspaper and that was a Genealogical Column I was writing.
What I have on the JAMES brothers includes receipts, notes, photos and furniture.
