David;
The explanation I gave you is "the Army makes mistakes."
I have Revolutionary War Records of my family, I have War of 1812 Records of my family, I have Civil War Records of my family, I have Spanish American War Records of my family, I have World War I Records of my family and I have World War II Records of my family.
Each of these files has at least one mistake - some of them many blatant mistakes.
The current "New and Improved Army" makes mistakes -- thanks to DODMERB I have a first hand account of that one.
The fact that some men grow after the age of 17 or 18 is not my opinion. It, too, is fact and I can cite many, many cases of this happening.
These are not guesses! These are facts.
And David, your support of Betty is honorable and I appreciate how you have moved into the role of her protector.
No one on this forum is trying to discredit her as a person.
I, for one, appreciate the tenacity she has shown.
We have only questioned the conclusions she reached and brought overlooked areas to light.
Good research is about looking at all avenues available.
