My dad had the local movie theater, and he was one of the first to film local news for the resident's benefit. He filmed the news, developed it and ran the projector, while my mom worked in the ticket booth at the door. I have racked my brain to try to remember seeing anything about JJ being in the area, but all I can recall seeing in his newsreels are forest fires, floods and races up Pike's Peak.
