The photo was proven to be Texas Rangers and I believe Carol was the first to find that info.....

No doubt Howk wanted to believe it was a photo. of Jesse James . Sad to know your father may have never learned the truth about the photograph. I often think of you having the experience of seeing Old Dalton the faker in the middle of your folks living room and wondering what is this all about. Thanks for showing me the home where this took place.

I am surprised that the family of Howk has never shown any interest in his letters......

I have a little notebook from my mother where she wrote a note daily in the last year of her life up till two weeks before she passed away...how I treasure it now.
