Hello Glynda,
About this picture:
The one I have is 8 by 10 with two pin holes from hanging and three small tears on both sides and two or three small skuf marks.
On the top someone printed; "Four Old Time Gunmen of the Old West and Texas",
On the bottom someone printed: " Levi James, Frank James, Jesse W. James, + Joseph James 1876".
Above the last name someone printed "Baxter".
Over on the left near the top someone printed "Newt".
On the backside someone wrote; "Galviston Texas Apr 14 -51 The i is not dotted and the t is just verily crossed.
Also in pencil someone wrote; "76"
The ink used was from an old fountain pen.

The penmanship is not Lee Howk nor my dad's.

Bob James.
