I just thought I would point this out. Everyone on this forum who has mentioned Thomas Martin (T.M.) James, has wrote his death date as Dec 25 1903 but I have found it to be 1901. Here is the 1901 Dec 26th NY Times Obituary http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9A00E2DC1638E033A25755C2A9649D946097D6CF and here is the Missouri Death Records, 1834-1931 for Thomas Martin James http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&db=MOdeaths%2c&rank=0&_8000C002=&_8000C003=james&_80004002=thomas&_80004003=james&_80008002=&_80008003=&gsby=&gsb1co=1%2cAll+Countries&gsb1pl=1%2c+&gsdy=&gsd1co=2%2cUSA&gsd1pl=28%2cMissouri&=%2c%2c%2c%2c%2c1%2c+%2c%2c%2c1%2c+%2c%2c1%2c+%2c%2c%2c%2c%2c%2c%2c1%2c+%2c%2c&sbo=0&sbor=&wp=4%3b_80000002%3b_80000003&prox=1&ti=0&ti.si=0&gss=angs-d&srchb=r&pcat=34&fh=4&recid=352391&recoff=1+3 Missouri Death Records, 1834-1931 for Thomas Martin James Name: Thomas Martin James Death Date: 25 Dec 1901 Birth Date: abt 1823 County: Jackson Death Location: Kansas City, MO Race/Ethnicity: White Age: 78 Gender: M (Male) death place: 427 Harrison Kansas City, Mo Nativity Kentucky Physician F. W. Rathbone On a side note, I am trying to make the connection between my ggGrandmother Elizabeth A. Albritton (JAMES) and her (supposedly shared common Uncle with Jesse James) T.M James. Mainly because of the info below that I got from my grandparents saying I am a cousin of Jesse James. "My ggGrandfather - Amos A. Albritton, born to Luke and Elizabeth Albritton. married Elizabeth Azlee James on October 12 1869 in Graves cty. Kentucky and emigrated to johnston cty. Illinois around 1870. They lived and farmed near New Burnside Belle City. Their marriage produced 9 children 3 girls 6 boys one of which was Nathan born 1880 Elizabeth Azlee James Albritton was a first cousin to Jesse and Frank and shared a common uncle, T.M james of Kansas City."
