Hi Sally,
I am looking for ancestors who moved from Jamaica to Australia. My mother tells me of her father, Archibald Cyrus John Forbes 1904-1984, having uncles who moved to Australia. She told me they would correspond via mail. From my mothers story I assume that my grandfather would have known them personally but they left well before my mothers birth in 1940.
My great grandfather, Archibald's father, was James Edward Forbes and I believe he died around 1939/1940. These relatives who moved to Australia would have been his siblings. I have some names : Archibald, Charles and "father" (must be a nickname), but these were not the brothers that moved to Australia.
Do you have any further information on Norman and his trip to Jamaica?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
-Akira
