Hello Mary Alice,

Thank you for your response. I did already have the information you shared. :)

I am not certain that I am related to E.A.M. Stewart. At this point I am exploring if there is a connection.

My Great Grandfather was William Henry Stewart Jr. b ~ 1848 in Barton Bowens Jamaica. He was a carpenter and possibly a millwright. He married Annie Cornelia Hines in 1876. He was also known as "Old Razor".

I am told that his father was W.H. Stewart Sr. The Jamaica Family Search website has transcribed information from the 1910 DIRECTORY of PENS, SUGAR ESTATES AND PLANTATIONS for the PARISH OF ST. ANN. It is shown there that Flamstead was owned by W. H. Stewart in 1910.
I was told by a cousin that W.H. Jr. had a cousin named Samuel. He also knew a "Madge Stewart" cousin Samís daughter, who once owned the land. I believe that this is Samuel Jr.'s daughter, Margaret Louisa.

I am still trying to put all of the pieces together . . . . I have been searching for the birth registration of my grandfather but have not had much luck. I found the marriage Banns which confirms his marriage. Witnesses were George Christie and Annie Green.

Are you currently researching Samuel and Mary's origins?
