Looking for Dyke family
Posted by: Trish Dyke (ID *****3917) Date: January 23, 2009 at 05:23:56

Hi I am looking for family of Wilmot Dyke (my grandfather), born in Jamaica. I am not sure where he was born but he raised his 6 children in Spaldings with his wife Icy Elizabeth Arscott. My grandma's name seems to have been spelled many different ways and Icy was the short form of either Isoline or Isolyne...something like that. They were born in the early part of the century, with my grandpa being born in 1908 I believe.
Wilmot had other family but I don't know them. His father was Daniel Dyke.
My father is Louis (known as Hughie when he was still in Jamaica) and he was the 5th child. The other children are Beryl, Keith, June, Dennis and Horace.
Any help would be great. I have grown up in Canada and made my first trip to Jamaica in Nov 2008 and I would love my next trip to be more of a family-finding trip!
Thanks in advance.
Trish
