The parents of Margaret Downs were William Downs, Sr. born April 22, 1769 and Catherine Lowery born 1780. Margaret was one of 15 children born including: Henry, Sarah Ann "Nancy", Thomas, John James, David Stacy, Margaret (your line), Evaline, William, Jr. (my line), Rebecca Ann "Becky", Samuel, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Isaac, James, and Peter Lowery. The Downs family is believed to be from County Downs, Scotland, but I have no proof, yet.
