My gg grandfather and gg grandmother was Cazimir and Marie Jean Louis Jacquet.I know that my gg grand father was born in 1826.Unfortunatley, I have not been able to find out much about My gg grandmother.I know that one of their children was Casimire who was born in 1866.He married Louise who I believe was a slave, and they had a two daughters, one was Leocade and the other Agnes.Agnes was married to the Rev. Gerard Olivier. Who had Lord Laurence Oliver. There is alot of controversy over the lineage since there was slavery and illegitimate children born, and thus kept alot of the lineage a secret.I have been unable to find out a lot due to this fact.I would be very interested in how you are related.I would be happy to share what I have, but it is mostly on the Olivier side of the family. I can go back on the Jacquet side to the mid to late 1700's. email me if you are interested, I will provide you with what I have.It sounds like we are related!!
