I actually have Ruby Ellen Adams' parent names: Gertrude Lane Adams and Will Adams. Thanks though. I am most curious about going further back to the parents of James Henry Jacobs. On his death certificate his parental information says that his father's name was Sam Jacobs with an unstated birthplace and the mother's maiden name was Mashburn with a first name not stated. It says James henry was born in Alabama on 11-14-1919. In or around 1966, my mother and her mother moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana (from Trussville, AL) which is where I was born. James Henry Jacobs followed soon after due to not having any relatives that could care for him in his dying days. James was no longer married to my grandmother, Ruby. She passed in 1971 from cervical cancer. James passed in 1974 from black lung disease as he was a coal miner most of his life...mostly in Orme, TN. Orme, TN is where the Adams family lived for many generations. I think I've hit a brick wall possibly due to Indian heritage. My mother told me that James was full-blooded Cherokee and Ruby was part Irish and part Cherokee. This has been confirmed by several distant relatives in my family.
