No help on Sarah but--appears you need to look in Madison County, Tennessee-- census ages etc not always correct but this has to be the same family-- In 1850 J.C. and family in Madison County, TN. Possible J.C. Powell born in Kentucky---
1880 census- Colorado County TX
J.C. Powell 60 born KY father bn NC mother bn KY
Sarah A. 54 " TN father " AL " " TN
Jim C. 30 son " TN KY TN
Kate Alice 21 AR
Ned B 10 TX
Next door is William J. Powell 36, born TN, father bn Ky,mother born TN

1860 census Conway Co. AR. J.C Powell 40 born TN- Sarah A. 34 bn TN--then Wm J., Jim T, James C all born TN--then Joseph A., Sarah, David?, Katy A all born AR
