http://www.ydg.com/stepp/story_tellin/ms_had_advent_fam.htmlhttp://www.ydg.com/stepp/story_tellin/ms_had_advent_fam.html, "this page has some information on moses stepp and james jackson", they both was born in orange co. va , revolutionary war and moved around together, moses and sally married in burke co. nc 1782,i think james was born around abt1757, i just received a e-mail, this person had a family bible and said sally`s father is william jackson jr. and mother margaret jackson? mary maybe was a nickname or short for margaret? there was a boy that traveled with moses and sally, named john (frederick) jude jr., the boys mothers name mary "polly", the father john jude sr. died abt1810 in surry co. nc, mother remarried a german man, named frederick, the younger children took the stepfathers name frederick and later changed back to jude, the boy john jr. lived with moses and sally, he was treated as there son, he was very close to sally, handed down by old stories for many generations that his mother mary "polly" jude may have been sally`s sister, a jackson or tied in some way, maybe a connection here, will gives us some answers.
