KY>TN>AR>OK JACKSON DNA connection to HILL family
We have discovered that a JACKSON family with early ancestors in Graves Co. KY and Hardeman Co. TN, with later descendants in AR/OK is connected paternally (somewhere along the line) to a well researched VA>NC>SC>GA HILL family. The following JACKSON lineage is in question:
GENERATION 1
James M. JACKSON (b.1813 NC-1875), lived in Graves co. Ky in 1830s, moved to Hardeman co. Tenn about 1841, moved to Izard co., Ark about 1851; moved to Red Rived co., TX about 1870; died Montague co., TX 1875.
GENERATION 2
James A. JACKSON (b.1841 Hardeman Co. TN, d. 1896) m. Jane Arsnoe Stroud, lived in Izard co. Ark ; moved to near Viola, Fulton co., Ark about 1885; died Fulton co. Ark
GENERATION 3
Charles Eldon JACKSON (b. 1876 LaCrosse, Izard Co. AR -d.1928) he was raised near Viola, Fulton Co. Ark. where he married Alph Jack 1894; moved to Okla. territoryin early
1900s, 1st to McAlister, Okla; Alpha died; he married Lela Cates,moved to Bristow, Okla. got divorce; married Rose Baker; moved to Shamrock, Okla.moved to Tonkawa, Okla. died at Tonkawa, Okla.
GENERATION 4
Fred A. JACKSON (1896-1936) b near Viola, Ark., he was raised at Bristow, Okla. married Elmina Moore 1921 at Pawnee, Okla.; lived at Jennings, Okla.; moved to Tonkawa, Okla about 1923; moved to Arkansas City, Kan. 1926; moved to Corsicana, Tx 1929.
GENERATION 5
A living descendant of this family has tested as a paternal descendant of a HILL family (Family Group 3) of the HILL DNA PROJECT.
