Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson genealogy
To Albert:
I am posting here as well has your message in 2001, because your email address no longer works~~~~~~~
IN HOPES you will see this.
"....Edward Jackson, born 1759, married Mary Hadden in 1783. The third son of Edward and Mary was Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson."
Copied from your post on genforum.
My name is Jo Crabtree, I am a researcher for Nowata County, Oklahoma.I research for people all over the US and I found while working for a lady in CA that one of her descendants (she didn't know about), that listed on his obituary and his funeral records, he was the grandson of Stonewall Jackson.
I can't understand how that could be, based on his age etc.
He died in 1928 and was 81 years old. Also I am wondering if instead, he was the nephew of Stonewall. However I find no record of a sister or a child by the name Elizabeth.
Just curious and would like to help the lady further.
Do you know anything? Can you shed any light on this?
His parents are listed as John F. McCowan and Elizabeth Jackson.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Jo Crabtree
