Hi Windy,
Wow, I'll certainly look into it!Should be able to get a death certificate on Jinny and maybe get a clue of her parents that way.
My information comes from a very sick old woman who died shortly afterward. Her info was rambling. She said her grandmother, Elizabeth Jackson, had a brother named Ed and a sister named Virginia. She said Virginia eloped to Texas.Later she said
Ed Jackson, Olive and Elizabeth born in Lafayette...Elizabeth eloped and the family followed to Texas....Dallas Bank...found Waco, TX.
I now have evidence of Ed and Elizabeth in Waco. But that's all.On the 1900 census, Charles W. Monroe was a widower, as Bettie had died in 1898.It said that his kids mother had been born in Texas. Also, Charles paid for Ed and Elizabeth's funeral, but he also paid for the funeral of a Mrs. Lou Jackson in Waco in 1897.Ed and Bettie's Mom? She was 74, so was born in 1823 ish.
Do you know of an Olive or Lou?
Thanks,
Barb
