The PORTER line in question is my direct line--documented in DAR. I was trying to help clarify and correct the information-- Joseph PORTER is not in the picture.
Will abstract (19 May 1799):
Son Eli: to get 150 acres, part of the Tract "whereon I now live"
Daughter: Betty Porter to get 100 acres, the remainder of the Tract
"whereon I now live"
Married children: Hannah Jackman, Sarah Scott, John, William, Thomas,
Charles, and Edwin - to have what has been given them already.
Hannah Jackman, Sarah Scott, William, Thomas, Charles, Betty, Eli, and John Porter deceased, his heirs - to have remainder of the estate, up to L100. If there is more "Edwin shall come in for a proportion of that balance."
Servants: Jack, Wil, and Sam - my wearing clothes.
