Hello, Steve,
The only information on Jacklins in Spalding I have is that Minnie Jacklin, daughter of Charles Jacklin, blacksmith, married John Butler, an engineer. They had three daughters but John was killed in an accident during bridge construction in Khartoum in 1908. In the 1901 Census, Minnie and her three daughters (husband John was presumably working abroad) lived with her father Charles Jacklin in Havelock Street, Spalding.

John Butler was the son of Joseph Butler (1833 - 1903), an engineer, who worked most of his adult life in Australia but came from a family of engineers and iron founders in Stanningley, Leeds.
