Edward. I have also been looking for John Henry for at least 10 years. The only ref.to him is a letter from Buleah Izard the aunt of my father-in law, Dr. emmette Izard. She states that her grandfather rarely spoke of his South Carolina family, but said he belived his fathers name was John Henry. He must have been young when his widowed mother came to Miss. with Matthew and sister Mary. I did note a Margaret Izard listed as a widow in the 1790 1800 South Carolina census. She was in her 20's and had 3 small boys under the age of 12. I suspect John Henry could be one of them. I have not had the time to go to Abbeyville S.C. to check into this possible lead. Matthew did name his first daughter Margaret.The rest of Matthews line in Miss. is complete. Now for John Henry.
