These individuals just about have to be of the same family(ies). I have looked at some of the info on Mark Whitaker as the most likely candidate for George H. Izard's father, but if I remember correctly there was a brother to Mark (also named George?) who is the more likely candidate. Thanks for your post. Do you have a line to this family? I believe George A. Izard and George H. Izard are the same person. The date of birth coincides with what I have and he is listed as George H. (most likely Hoffman?) Izard in later censuses. He is listed as George H. Izzard in the 1870 Lavaca Co. TX census.
