I have a connection to James Ivory's sister, Mary, who married John Holmes in 1869. I have been trying to trace further back on George Ivory, their father, but as far as I know from the 1851 census he was born in Germany (or so he says). I haven't been able to confirm this. Do you have any information on them which you would be willing to share? Jean
