Hello Linda,
I've tracked down more information about this family since I posted the original message, but I'm not clear about some of it. My Ggrandfather was Joseph Ivory born at Cambells Creek Castlemaine in, I think, 1856. His parents were Thomas and Rose Ann Ivory. There was a William George Ivory, born at Castlemaine in 1857, and a Thomas Ivory, born at Muckleford in 1859 who may have been brothers. Your ancestor may also have been a brother, born after the family moved to Natta Yallock. Rose Ann Ivory's family name is confusing. It could be Mara, Marra, Medows, or even Sharp. Jospeh Ivory had died, or disappeared, by 1910, but I can't find any death record - or birth record for that matter. Do you know any more?
Peter.
