I have not researched this, but have been given information as follows:
Correct name in Wales is Ifans, pronounced EE vahns:Ifan Ifans - 1486 -- Carmarthenshire, South Wales.Gwilym or Alun Ifans -- 1508 --same.Alun Ifans -- 1531 -- same.Owain Ifans -- 1557 - Monmouthshire (Eastern)Wales.The Ifans moved from Monmouthshire to Warwickshire, England in the late 1500s.Henry Ifans/Ivans -- 157? -- Warwickshire (?).Arrived April 11, 1610 on the "Deliverance" from Plymouth, Engalnd to Jamestown, VA, died 1611 or 1621 in New Jersey.Henry Ivans/Ivins -- Jan 1611 -- Jamestown.Orphaned at age 10, moved to New Amsterdam, NY 1630, fur and tobacco trader 1633-39.Possible year of death is 1645, Penn's Neck, NJ.Daniel Ivins -- 1640, died 1675 -- Burlington County, NJ.Daniel Ivins (II) -- 1660 -- Burlington County, NJ.Names , but no dates are given:Samuel Ivins, Thomas Ivins,Robert Ivins, John Ivins, Owen Ivins, Samuel Ivins, William Ivins.Isaac Ivins -- Feburary 25, 1779, married Mary Lippincott, 1799.
