My name is Michael Yarber and I am a great great grandson of Gus and Arie Ivey. He was a former slave and she was a free poor white woman. They were married and had eight children. Dewitt, Ocie, Arie, are some of their names. Ocie was married to a man named Thomas Cook, and they bore eight children. Corrine, Ellard, Howard, Jo Emma, Annice, Gladys, Hazel and Bernice. Jo Emma was my grandmother and was herself married several times. Once to Clyde Wilkins with whom she bore two children, James Thomas who was killed from fractures he sustained after being kicked in the head by a mule and, Bernice my mother who herself bore ten children. Jo Emma was also married to a man named Ed Lee Blake, Bob Nicks and Ephrim Turner. She was the last of member of her mother and father's children to die in November 2005. I am looking for relatives who I possibly don't know or haven't seen in a while. Thanks for any help.
