THANK YOU SO MUCH....For years my mother, Martha IVES told me that she was related to Burl IVES and that she met him when she was a little girl. I dont know how that is possible as her father's family was from Iowa and Wisconsin. I still havent traced where my mothers great Grandfather was from. His name was Asahel IVES son of Norman. His records say New York but Im still searching. His son Frederick IVES was born in Wisconsin. Fred's sons were named Frank and Amos...maybe a connection. I wrote to Burl Ives back in 1991. A friend of mine worked in his publicity department. He never wrote me back. (probably thought I was crazy). So my search still looks for a connection between my Wisconsin/Iowa Ives and Burl Ives....Thanks for the info
