I don't claim to be an expert on this family line but see if any of the below strikes some chords with what you know of them.
Seldon W. Ives, born January 27, 1894 in Missouri. I only know of children named Edward B. and Lester D. but entirely possible there was also a child named Harle. Seldon W. Ives is the child of Nicholas Whit Ives(Whitfieldon to you). His father, Thomas Ives (1820-1875), was very prolific, having married thrice with those marriages resulting in about 19 total children. Thomas died when Nicholas was about 13 years old, leaving his mother with at least 6 young children at home. Not surprisingly, she remarried (Josiah Trask) and had additional children with her new husband. Thomas was born in Tennessee after his family migrated there from Virginia. Can send more detail via e-mail if this all strikes a chord.
A fair number of this family, including Seldon W. Ives, Nicholas Whit Ives ("Whit" in burial records), and Thomas Ives are buried in Swieder Cemetery, Crawford Co., MO. Believe RootsWeb has an online transcription of this cemetery if you can't easily travel there.
Do you happen to have any further info on the Burl/Frank pictures? Year they were taken, location, etc? I'm not making any connection to those names but further info might help.
