Greetings, I'm interested to try to trace the family of James William Ives. he was killed while serving with the East Surrey Regiment during World War 1 on the 26th may 1917 he is listed at the Common Wealth War Grave Site: Name: IVES Initials: J W Nationality: United Kingdom Rank: Private Regiment/Service: East Surrey Regiment Unit Text: 7th Bn. Date of Death: 26/05/1917 Service No: 3/20919 Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead Grave/Memorial Reference: XXV. E. 13. Cemetery: ETAPLES MILITARY CEMETERY I have also found that his place of residence was Tottenham and he was born in Homerton, but I don't know when My Son visited this cemetery during a school,trip to France.
