Ken, I will look forward to what you may be able to find in Burke's Civil War pension records before I do anything. If, as I hope, Lydia Dickinson Ives is the daughter of James Dickinson and Semanthy/Samantha (poss. Case) then it certainly explains the naming of one son as Versil Dickinson Ives. James and Samantha had a son, their second from the youngest of their children, born 1807 and who lived his adult life in Potter Co, who was named Versil Dickinson.....wahoo!!! Anyhow, this could be a very big accomplishment if the connection to my Dickinson line can be proven! I look forward to what you may find. Denise Notify Administrator about this message?
