Hi I,m looking for my great great great Aunt Margaretta Turner Parkin (and her descendents) who married a Richard Ivens in Exeter Devon on the 24th nov 1855,
Richard was born approx 1820 in oxford area. His father is named as Thomas Ivens a farmer on the marriage certificate. Richard was a ships chandler at the time of marriage.
In 1861 on the census he is a seaman of sorts and they are living in penzance with one child Walter Breakspeare Ivens born 1856.
in 1871 they turn up in the Bristol area with a daughter called Margaretta.
In 1891 I can only find Walter still living in the gloucester area. he was married to an Annie and have several children by 1901.
What I gather from my family Margaretta was my great great grandfather,s favorite sister he named his eldest daughter after her. I would love to find out more of Richard and Margaretta and their family.and of Richard,s family also.
