Christine:
"I extrapolated the above information from a published 1879 census (by local parish of San Pietro) in Carpineto.R".
PS. I erred with the name San Pietro - should have been San Leone, named after Pope Leo XIII (papa Pecci) born in Carpineto R.
When I visited Carpineto (1997) I purchased from a local photography/bookstore (Campagna) a book written and published (1982) by local historian Italo Campagna. This book is a compilation of church archives from the "Chiesa S.Leone Magno in Carpineto" (title). This book was published by a committee commemorating the centennial of the church S.Leone Magno.
These archives were a list of parisheners during the 1800's. The book goes into details in each area of the town, house-by-house, occupying families, names of husband and wife, widows, widowers, second or third wives, names of their parents, names of their children, pensioners, etc. Good family tree stuff!
My great-great grandfather (Pagani Bernardino and Robibaro Maria) grandmother were referenced here. The name Robibaro is scattered throughout this book. If you have any lineage info, you might get more details from this book. I could scan pertinent pages for you.
Ciao, Pietro
