Both of my parents are from that area. My mother (Filomena Mercuri) is from La Mezia Terme, and my father (Frank Cerminara) is from Platania. He left Platania with his family in 1955. His family is Ralph (father) ,Rosa (Mother), and brothers & sisters Greg, Luigi(deceased),Mariantona, & Antoinette Cerminara are all from there.
