I sent the following email to the Catholic Diocese and do not know if anyone will research my request. Does anyone have any more suggestions? Where else could I send my request? Thank you!
Dear Monsignor Semeraro,
In June, my sister-in-law's mother (Josephine (Quintiliani) Pezzullo) will be celebrating her 95th birthday. Speaking with
Josephine I learned she knows nothing of her mother's roots and thus my request for help in finding information and
making a booklet, for her, for her birthday.
I have come about your e-mail from a kind soul in Maryland, USA, that directed me to your website as a beginning to
my journey of acquiring information. What follows is what I know....anything beyond Josephine's mothers name is
what the internet has provided me thus far.
SUBJECT: Rosa (Ianni) Quintiliani
was married to Pasquale Quintiliani.
She arrived in the U.S. 14 April, 1914 aboard the S. S. Celtic at age 27.
So her birth would be about 1887.
She came with two sons; Antonio age 5y and Carmelo 5mo.
The ships manifest states her place of birth as Casalvieri
(When Pasquale came to the U.S., he said he was born in Marino? - Marina?)
Josephine said the only thing her mother (Rosa) ever said was that Rosa's mother died when she was born.
Josephine would love to know about her mothers side of the family. What/who were her (Rosa's) maternal parents and
did Rosa have any brothers or sisters. Anything would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time and God Bless you.
("Mickey") Mary Finn-Jordan
