There is a Philip Lombardi listed in he 1910 census in Cambria. He is only 4 months old and his parents are John and Carmela.John is a coal miner.
Don't find him in the 1920 census. There is a Jospeh and a Florence, both under the age of 4 in the 1920 census of Cambria living in an Alms House.John is listed in the WWI registrations and refers to his mother in Italy, not a wife, as his closest kin.Not sure if this means anything.
If you go to the FHL at www.familysearch.org and check the catalog for Cambria, Penn. you will find the index to births available on microfilm for the county that covers the period of time you are interested in.Perhaps it can offer some clue to you.You can rent it for a small fee and see if you can find Joseph and his siblings. In the vital records, I believe there is one that cover deaths for that period of time as well.Worth looking into.
Good Luck.
