Looking for Info about Catherine De Simone (b 1890s, d 1960s)
I am looking for more info about a relative's wife, Catherine De Simone. Her parents were from Italy and emigrated to Argentina prior to settling in the US. I don't know where the family was from in Italy.
It appears that Catherine was born while the family was in still in Argentina, sometime around 1897- no idea of which city.
Upon arriving in the US, probably within months of Catherine's birth, they settled in Brooklyn, New York.
Parents may be: Domenico (Dominick) De Simone (b ~1868- Italy) and Giuseppa (Josephine) (b ~1881- Italy). They seem the most likely candidates but no confirmation yet.
I'm not sure if correct surname is De Simone or DeSimone.
On August 11, 1914, she married Angelo Giovanni Moroneso (1893, Italy to 1964, New York), in Brooklyn, NY. She lived most of her life in Brooklyn and Queens, New York.
She and Angelo both died in Nassau County, New York. Her death was sometime in 1960s.
Any information would be awesome but it would be especially great to learn more about her family of origin. Feedback about how to find out more about her birth in Argentina would also be very helpful.
Thanks in advance! :)
