John James Viglione, from Casalbore, Campania, Italy
I'm seeking info on the parents of John James Viglione (Giovanni Giacomo in Italian), born 1883 in Naples, according to his death certificate. Recent info came to me that he came to America (New York) on May 7, 1901 at the age of 18, coming from the Port of Napoli on the ship Vencencio Florio. I did find Josephine (Ginseppa) LaVigna, wife of John James Viglione, who came to USA at the age of 5 years with her parents, Vincenzo and Grazia Lavigna. John's death certificate lists father as Michael Viglione and mother as Rose Martini, born Italy. John settled in Pennsylvania. John had a brother, Pasquale who was born in 1880 in Italy and arrived in NY on July 28, 1903 at the age of 23. Folk lore says Pasquale was from Casalbore, Campania, Italy. Pasquale married Alfonsina Fina in 1908 and settled in Allentown, PA. They had children, Rose, Johanna and Gerald. John James and Josephine had children, Rose, Grace and John James, Jr. who changed his name to Williams and lived in Reading, PA.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who might have info on this family. Thanks for your time.
