LITTLETON -- Josephine (Biagioni) Fondacaro, 102, died at her residence on April 29. She was born in Pawtucket, RI on April 7, 1908 daughter of the late Joseph and Nancy (Russo) Biagioni and was the wife of the late Joseph Fondacaro who died in 1990. She grew up in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. She also graduated from Burdette College in Boston.
Josephine was an independent business woman who owned and managed the Joyce Letter Shop on Boylston Street in Boston until the age of 75. She has made her home in Littleton since 1931 and was a member of St. Anne's Church and the Council on Aging. After retiring, she participated and volunteered at the Meal Site for the Seniors in Littleton. Her greatest joy was being with her family
She is survived by her daughter Doria and her husband Charles Stover, three grandchildren Leslie Cording of Oldwick NJ, Elaine Stover of Norwalk CT, and Sherrill Stover of Stamford CT, five great-grandchildren, Charles, Christina, Kathryn and Carlye Cording and Griffin Stover. She is also survived by a nephew Joseph and his wife Rita Biagioni of Littleton.
FONDACARO -- Visiting hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St. Littleton on Sunday 7-9 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's. Church, 75 King St. Littleton on Monday, May 10 at 10 A.M., Burial at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton.
